Remodeling
A remodeling project is very different from new construction because the homeowner is the one we are working for, not the builder. As the homeowner, you have to make some very important and difficult decisions. Builders on the other hand make the same decisions over and over. And they normally have the same crews doing the same thing, house after house. But as the homeowner, you might not have made those decisions before. Chief among those decisions is, "Who do I call first?" Some cabinet shops only build cabinets and leave the finishing and everything else up to you. Some remodelers do only a small part of the work themselves and hire out everything else, charging you a percentage of the sub-contractors bill for the privilege of calling someone for you. But some shops, like ours, handle as much or as little as you wish. We will work with you on the design, do the demolition, take out a wall, build a wall, drywall work, build all cabinets, stain and finish or paint them, install cabinets, install flooring (all kinds), install backsplash, install a tub surround and other wall coverings, etc. You must, however, have a licensed plumber and electrician do that work for you. But we will recommend those we trust and have worked with in the past. We also have worked with a number of interior designers. So if you would like a designer to make some of the design decisions - or guide you through it - we can help with that as well.
So who do you call first? You call the people who know what they're doing and see the work through from beginning to end.
